George Stefanovici joined Carastro & Associates, Inc. in 1996 and has over sixteen years experience in the design and analysis of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.  He graduated from Gh. Asachi University, Iasi, Romania with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Stefanovici serves as the mechanical department head of Carastro & Associates and supervises the design, specification and construction management of all HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.  He is actively engaged in the application and design of mechanical systems for educational, institutional, commercial, laboratories, data centers and telecommunications facilities.  His experience with chilled water, direct expansion and specialized air-conditioning systems for critical environments, along with his dedication and commitment to quality on every project has enabled him to set the foundation for successful projects that are completed on time and within budget.   He has also developed a strong knowledge of construction practices and problem solving techniques and he maintains a productive relationship with facility engineers, contractors and code officials.

Mr. Stefanovici is an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers and received an ASHRAE 2007 Technology award for a local museum project.   He has been certified as an Indoor Air Quality Professional by the Association of Energy Engineers, he is a member of the International Facility Managers Association, National Council of Engineering Examiners and is a registered Professional Engineer in 6 states.
